Introductory Course of Acupuncture and Moxibustion
Time: Apr.15 – July 15 and Aug.15 – Nov.15
Textbook: Essentials of Chinese Acupuncture
Studying Goal:
Through three months studying, participants will be able to acquire
1: general understanding of the basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), participants can apply yin-yang and five elements to know physiological and pathological process of body.
2: Participants can preliminarily know zang-fu theory, understand physiological functions of zang-fu organs, find out differences to understand body physiology and pathology given by TCM and Western medicine.
3: Participants can preliminarily grasp basic theory of acupuncture and moxibustion, understand running courses of fourteen meridians and corresponding relations with zang-fu organs, know distribution rule of twelve regular meridians.
4: Participants can preliminarily know manipulation techniques of four diagnostic methods of TCM, understand indications of diagnosis.
5: Participants mainly study location and indications of points, completely grasp 120 commonly points including location, indications, clinical application and method.
6: Participants can skillfully grasp acupuncture techniques such as insertion, manipulation, retaining and withdrawal of needle.
7: Participants can preliminarily apply the theories that they have studied to analyze diseases, grasp the diagnosis, differentiation and treatment of 25 commonly seen clinical diseases.
Period: 400 hours of theoretical and clinical training are arranged for each three-month course
Way of teaching: in the first week theoretical study both in the morning and in the afternoon, afterwards, clinical training in the hospital in the morning and theoretical study in classroom in the afternoon.
On completion of the course, certificate will be issued to those who have passed the examinations (middle, final & clinical).
